  • My Personal Blog Website

I'm sorry I haven't been blogging here.  I don't know why I don't.  When I was told about Xanga I was also told about MySpace and I was just overloaded with these blog sites.  I didn't want to post the same thing in all of them so I chose not to blog at all.  I ended up creating my own blog on my personal website that I've had for years and at first I didn't blog very much at all.  Now I blog at least 4-5 times per day.

I personally like my own website for blogging even though nobody is reading it lol.  I have 3 comments and they were all made by ME!  Hehe.  I guess if I blogged here I'd get more comments.  Oh well.  I guess that's why I'm making this blog to tell people about my own blog at www.xanapus.com/blog.  You can also see my regular website at www.xanapus.com where I have lots of things that are at least a little useful.  Such as crochet and plastic canvas stuff.

  • Crackin Up Radio

I wanted to talk about www.crackinupradio.com.  It is the most hilarious radio talk show on the internet that you will ever hear.  Gretchen Massey is so hilarious.  You've got to listen to her show.  Just go over to the website and you can hear all their past shows.  There is also a live broadcast every single "Fraturday Night" (Fridays from 11pm to 1am pacific).  You can't miss it.  I'll be listening, will you?

  • SparkPeople

I'm giving it another try on the weight loss front.  But this time I found a website called SparkPeople at www.sparkpeople.com and it seems to be working for me.  I've learned how to eat fruits and veggies and even yogurt and to drink 8 cups of water per day (or up to lol).  Hopefully this will work for me.  I'm going to go to the park today with my bike and ride it for at least half hour.  Since Chip has to drive me there he's not gonna want to wait around for me for hours while I ride.  He doesn't have his own bike so all he can do is feed the ducks.

I blogged here before how I was going to go walking in the mall and that really didn't work out.  I'm not an athletic type and to be able to go mall walking I had to walk to the mall and it's a long walk, it took about half hour just to get there.  Which I know isn't really that long of a walk but still.  I'd walk for half hour in the mall because I was too tired to walk for longer then I'd have to walk back hehe.  I have a home gym so that helps because you have to strength train too.  I wish I had a membership to a gym.  That would really help.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Don't worry, there are no spoilers here.

I pre-ordered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when I first heard that you could pre-order it with amazon.com and of course I didn't want to pay a huge price for next day or 2 day shipping so I opted for the free shipping which means I could've waited 4 or 5 days for it.  But, I got lucky because it came on Saturday July 21st the day the book went on sale.

There are a lot of people who say that they read it in 14 hours or 20 hours or whatever.  I'm not impressed.  I'm not a speed reader and it's not a contest for me.  I read it at my own pace.  I took maybe 6 to 8 hours a day to read it and got maybe 12 to 15 chapters a day which is fine.  It took me 4 days to read it.  Which is ok, it took me 4 days to read all of them, even the first 3 which were way thinner than this one.  Probably because I wasn't really much of a reader when I started the first few books and over time I started reading faster.

I really loved this book, and at the same time I was so angry at what was happening in the book.  People say that it's a very dark book because as you may or may not know Lord Vol.... eh hem, I mean He-who-must-not-be-named is back and this is Harry's final fight with him.  I will not say any more other than if you have not read the Harry Potter series of books what are you waiting for?  These books are so easy to read and understand and if you are not a reader, these books will turn you into one.  I like the books because they have so much more content than the movies do.

  • Bank of America

Last month I sent my landlord the rent check for May and for June because Chip kept forgetting to send May's rent check and it was close to the end of the month anyway so I just wrote one out for June and sent it.  No reason to waste a stamp right?  So, I look at my bank account and on May 28th he cashed them both.  Knowing that I only  had the money in there for May.  So, that put me in the negative and of course I got a $20 fee which they took in June.

The other day I went to the bank of america website and noticed my balance was $0 and so I looked at the details and well, I was in the negative again.  I printed out my statement and went into Microsoft Money to check off what items I put in the program and circled what I had forgotten.  There were 4 things  I forgot to put into Microsoft Money.  I'm usually pretty good and putting everything in there the day I spend money but I guess I forgot 4 things.  That's ok, the overdraft was my fault.  I accept responsibility.  They charged me $35 because it was the 2nd overdraft they took out this month.  Well, Panasonic decided to take $10 from me for my warranty for my dvd recorder and of course I get charged another $35 fee.  That's $90 in fees this month alone.  Bank of America is squeezing all the blood out of me that they can.

I think I'm going to switch to a different bank.  Washington Mutual is across the street from Bank of America but there is no ATM machine around me.  We have a ATM right across the street from us and it's a B of A ATM machine which makes it really convenient to have B of A.  I don't know what I'm going to do.  $90 is too much money in 1 month to be taking away from me.
